Billy
French worked all his life as a bricklayer eventually becoming
an Inspector of Bricklaying in Local Government. He is also a
novelist, poet, songwriter and playwright. He contributed to the
best-selling No Shoes in Summer (Wolfhound Press) and
wrote Growing Up in Crumlin Village. He has written many
short stories for Ireland’s Own and other magazines.
The
Journeyman A Builders Life is printed by Wolfhound Press.
It is a highly informative nostalgic account of Billy’s
eventful life from boy apprentice to journeyman builder in Old
Dublin.
He
still lives in his much loved Crumlin with his wife.
