Barbara O'Shea

Barbara O'Shea worked as a radio producer and reporter with RTE (the Irish national broadcaster) for several years and travelled in Asia, Africa and Latin America for the programme Worlds Apart. She moved further afield with her career and lived, for a period, in New York, freelancing in television, video and radio production. She later lived in Cambodia, working with the United Nations on the elections that followed the peace agreement, and has monitored elections in a number of countries. A graduate in Development Studies and International Human Rights Law, she lectures in human rights and lives in Dublin. Postcards from Elsewhere is Barbara’s first publication for Merlin Publishing.
