Mike
Parker
Born
in 1958, Mike Parker has a twin sister. He was educated art Hove
County Grammar School for Boys and later Kent University in Canterbury,
studying English and Sociology. Mike started out his working life
as an Advertising Copywriter during the design boom of the eighties
and wrote the Star Signs for in-flight brochures! He retrained
as a teacher in the 1990’s and went on to teach 11-16 year
olds at a State School.
Through
all this he nurtured and developed his love for writing. In 2002
he won the Poetry Now National Poetry Prize and the Raven National
Poetry Prize. He had various short stories and poems published
in a number of languages.

by Wolfhound Press. He is married with four children.
