Michael Slavin He returned to Ireland in the late 1960s after extensive world travel. Since then he has been an equestrian correspondent, writing for national and provincial newspapers as well as international sports journals. For over fifteen years he has been a commentator for RTE Radio Sport. Michael Slavin’s abiding passions are books, horses and Ireland’s ancient legends. He has written a number of highly successful books for Wolfhound Press including: The Book of Tara, Showjumping Legends 1868-1998 and more recently Ancient Books of Ireland. Michael has lived at the Hill of Tara, in County Meath for over thirty years where he runs an antiquarian bookshop.
